Posts: 19Who would have ever thought that the dad of that "Eat my Shorts" lad that skateboards in each week would become more popular and even the star of the show. When the program started one would think Bart Simpson would be the star, but gradually it was Homer we see that is the most dynamic character and the one we identify more with.
The Simpsons are now the longest running sitcom in history, not to mention the longest running animated television series. And who would have known that the writers could sustain the amount of ideas for this long! The truth is the animation IS funny and quite witty. I never did care for the celebrated Halloween specials. It's amazing how many primary, secondary, and even tertiary characters there are in this series. And each and every one is interesting in their own right. We don't necessarily have to see and hear members of the Simpsons family to be entertained.
By the way ... where exactly is Springfield again?
